Chelsea Slayter is a Jersey Shore/NYC-based writer, director, and producer whose narrative films blend observation with intimate storytelling. Her debut short, After The Egg (2021), screened at festivals including Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival, Portland Film Festival, Loft Film Festival, and New York Shorts International Film Festival.

Commercially, she’s created work for clients like ASICS, Keen, Tombolo, and FIFA World Cup.

After Hurricane Irma and Maria, Chelsea created the TOPIC docuseries Passing Storms, exploring climate resilience through the story of a Caribbean community rebuilding after disaster. She is also a founding member of the NYC chapter of Girls in Film and is currently developing narrative and documentary projects through her production company, Vague Pictures.
